CREEMORE - The Canadian Forces School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at CFB Borden will conduct maneuvers in Creemore on Fri., Nov. 27.
Approximately 30 soldiers from the base will be in the village between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Lt.-Col. N. Jardine said in a recent letter to Clearview Township council.
The purpose of the exercise is to train sergeants and master-corporals in the movement and maintenance of equipment in built-up areas, Jardine said.
"All individuals will be respectful to property, facilities and members of your community and will be closely supervised throughout the period," the lieutenant-colonel added.
Members of the military have trained in and around Clearview Township on several other occasions in the past.
